Linothele cf. sericata (Colombian curtain-web spider) 0.75" Ornithoctoninae sp. 'vendula' Common Name: Striped-knee tarantulaThis species is also erroneously labeled Linothele megatheloides within the hobby, however comparison of the spermatheca of hobby specimens to the illustration in Paz & Raven, 1990 indicates that they are not conspecific. Based on the locality and description in Duprr, Tapia & Bond, 2023, the hobby specimens most closely align with L. sericata.
