Pernand-Vergelesses, Pierre Meurgey, 2022 Variant:DUTY PAID the palate rounds out sweetly

the palate rounds out sweetly on succulent fresh black fruit and liquorice flavours

It gives great quality with bold dark fruit aromas and flavours with blackcurrant evident alongside some raspberry notes

In the glass it shows a pale straw colour with green hues

Drawn from limestone-rich soils

suggests from the outset an altogether more serious wine than Didier Desvignes' regular cuvées

Pernand-Vergelesses, Pierre Meurgey, 2022 Variant:DUTY PAID the palate rounds out sweetlyPernand Vergelesses from Maison Pierre Meurgey is a bright, characterful Burgundy from the cooler slopes above Aloxe Corton, where altitude and limestone soils bring freshness and lift. Bright and well balanced on the palate, its an easy, refreshing white that really comes into its own with grilled fish, roast chicken or simple cream based dishes.
