Colgin IX Estate 2004 750mL Rhone with a tremendously long finish

with a tremendously long finish

massive wines of the vintage is the 1982 Gruaud Larose

This needs at least four to seven years of bottle age

2006 Schrader - Wine Advocate #180 - Dec 2008: The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon CCS is utter perfection in Cabernet Sauvignon

This overtly powerful effort will also need plenty of patience but should absolutely be worth the wait

Colgin IX Estate 2004 750mL Rhone with a tremendously long finish"The same could be said for the 2004 IX Estate Proprietary Red, a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot. Deep purple to the rim with sweet blackberry, creosote, camphor, forest floor and fruitcake notes, sweet tannin and a layered mouthfeel, this wine builds incrementally offering up power, but also elegance. It is a spectacular wine from a great site." Wine Advocate, RP97, tasted 4 2014
