Bedroom Chimney southern highlands their paint peeling back throughA bedroom fireplace in the abandoned Big Hill Post Office, its chimney breast shedding paint in thick curling layers down to bare plaster and timber beneath. The hearth sits empty, coated in dust. Each bedroom in the postmaster's residence had its own fireplace, necessary at 658 metres elevation on the Southern Tablelands, where winters are hard. Part of the Big Hill Post Office series.
